Free: Car Emergency Printables

Nothing can halt a summer road trip faster than a mini-crisis, if you’re not ready for it. I know it’s not an overly enjoyable subject; but what would you do if something went wrong?

We have minor bumps and scrapes covered with our DIY Car First Aid kit; But what about the dreaded fender bender? With just about everyone and their mother on the road this summer, it’s a good idea to take some advice from the Boy Scouts and BE PREPARED!

DIY: Car First Aid Kit

Yikes! Yesterday was the last day of school, which means the Summer Travel Season is about to begin! I have family visiting this summer and we're all planning a little road trip. With 4 adults and 2 small children, one of us is bound to need a Band-Aid at some point, so I thought it might be a good time to put together a First Aid Kit for the car. Sure I could buy a pre-made kit, but they're so expensive and they don't have everything that I want to have available when I need it.

Free: Printable No Soliciting Sign

In the last few years my apartment complex has been plagued by unwanted guests. I've had several politicians ask for my vote, people of various religions trying to convert me, and countless people trying to sell me things I don’t need. After receiving 3 knocks in one day, I knew I had to stop the parade of endless intrusions. Grrrrr!

I first thought of making a wooden plaque and hanging it outside, but painting it by hand seemed a little daunting plus I didn't think it would last long against the elements. {Daydreaming about what I could make with a Silhouette}

Since I have a large pane of glass in my front door, I decided to hang a picture frame inside and avoid the issue of weatherproofing altogether. Once I had that part figured, I had to plan out what I wanted it to say. The sign had to welcome my friends and family, but also notify strangers in a nice way that they are unwelcome. Girl Scouts are the only exception, of course!

I've had my sign up for a few weeks now and so far it seems to be working because they no longer bother me!

DIY: Baseball Cap Organizer

My husband has a TON of baseball caps and he tends to bring promotional caps home from work, so his collection is constantly growing! In order to keep my apartment from being taken over by caps, it was high time I tame his collection.

I found a clever solution on Pinterest that used shower curtain c-hooks, but the majority my husband's caps are fitted so I needed to find another way to organize his caps. I had several book rings in my desk, so I decided to combine them with leftover clothes pins from my tack project. Since I already had everything on hand, this project was FREE! Besides the amazing price, I love that my husband has no more excuses because all of his hats are in one place and they are super easy to take out and put back! No more hats falling on my head when I open the entry closet!!

Free: Reward Chart

I love the idea of a reward chart as a way to inspire good behavior and encourage responsibility! My mom was a teacher and she used an incentive chart both in her classroom and at home, so I am very familiar with those metallic star stickers.

When I received an email from Amanda asking if I had ever considered expanding my chore charts and developing a chore reward chart, I just had to make one and share it with all of you!

Free: Financial Plan

Now that I've learned how to manage my time with the help of a planned weekly schedule, I’m focusing on my next New Year’s resolution – creating a financial plan.

As with anything in life, planning is key to a brighter future. A financial plan provides a road map of where you want to go in life. But before you can make a plan, you need to have some goals

Free: Weekly Schedule

The first week of January is when I start planning my goals for the year. I've been thinking a lot about prioritizing and figuring out how best to spend my time in 2013. Yes, there are already too many tasks that must get done each day...cleaning, organizing, etc. But this year I want to also start making time for what's important in my life.

My husband works long hours, so my top goal is spending more time with him. Carving out a block of time each day to watch a movie or play a board game with my hubby is far more crucial than scrubbing the floors for the umpteenth time.

Free: Holiday Editable Address Labels

I love to send {and receive} holiday cards! I try my best to send them out by December 1st, but that usually doesn't happen. I made printable wrap-around labels for those of us who are fashionably late with our cards. No more endless hand writing, now I can copy the addresses from my Christmas card list and paste them directly into the labels.

Attention: Download Links Will Be Up Again Soon!

Update: Hurrah!! The download links are back up & running. A giant thank you to Kathleen in Illinois, Lori in Tennessee and Kirsten in Northampton England for making it happen! I have the best readers <3

I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving! When I checked back into the blog world this afternoon I was upset to find that my download links are no longer working because I've gone over my bandwidth limit on Box.com. I am thrilled that my printables are being shared so much, but I was hoping that I wouldn't have to pay the $99/year upgrade fee until after I had a few sponsors to help offset the cost. So here is my current dilemma - I LOVE sharing and I want to continue giving all of you free printables, but I can't financially afford the online storage fees. So I'm currently waiting to hear back from Box and hopefully everything will be back up in the next few days.

Just to let all of you know, I’m adding a "treat me to a cup of tea" button to the bottom of the page. Contributions are appreciated but are not required. I use to view donate buttons as a form of panhandling, but I’m starting to see the value in them as I’m realizing how much money is involved in running and maintaining a blog.

I appreciate your patience and understanding while I try to resolve this problem. Thank you for being such amazing readers. :)
